Dr. Yiming Tang received her Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering & Technology) from South China University of Technology and her Ph.D. from University of New South Wales, Sydney (under supervision of Professor Rose Amal and Yun Hau Ng). After graduation, she joined South China Normal University as a Teaching-track research fellow in 2015 and was promoted to associate professor since 2020.
Dr. Tang’s research is focused on the development of novel photoactive semiconductor thin films for functional materials for water treatment and carbon neutrality. Recently, she has received research funding from National Science Foundation, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau as the principal investigator (PI). As of 2022, she has published 15 peer-reviewed journal articles as the first-author or corresponding author including J. Mater. Chem. A (“Hot paper”, Frontispiece), J. Hazard. Mater., Chem. Eng. J.
