From December 10 to 12. 2020, the scientific and technological achievements transformation and docking Conference (hereinafter referred to as the "docking conference") and a series of exhibition docking activities were jointly held by Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and Foshan Municipal Government in Foshan. Jing Lihu, director of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, Xu Guo, vice mayor of Foshan City, and leaders of the Provincial Department of Education, Foshan municipal government and municipal units attended the meeting. Ma Weihua, vice president of South China Normal University, Zhao Lingzhi, director of science and Technology Department, Li Kai, deputy director of science and Technology Department, and teachers of relevant scientific and technological achievements team attended the meeting.
In this activity, Professor Huang Zhizhi's project " Development and application of water pollution control technology and intelligent equipment" stood out from 263 projects in 71 universities, ranked fifth in the start-up group of Guangdong University's scientific and technological achievements transformation competition, and won the third prize. This is the first time that SCNU won this award since the competition was held for three times.
This activity also organized 12 investment incubation and industry university research cooperation projects to sign contracts, and the project of Professor Huang Mingzhi's team was also among the signed projects.
At the meeting, Xu Guo delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Foshan municipal Party committee and government. Jing Lihu affirmed the achievements made in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Guangdong universities. The conference released the "report on scientific and technological innovation ability of Guangdong Universities", showed the top 20 scientific and technological innovation ability of undergraduate universities, as well as the comprehensive innovation ability of SCNU ranked sixth in the province. The conference presented with the plaque of "University workstation for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Guangdong Universities".
