On November 14th, the finals of the 2nd National College Students' Municipal Environment Innovation and Practice Cup, sponsored by China Ecological Environment Industry and Education Alliance, organized by Beijing Water Group and Harbin Institute of Technology, and co-organized by National Virtual Simulation Teaching Center of Municipal Environment, was held in the School of Environment of Harbin Institute of Technology. 93 domestic universities joined the competition including Harbin Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Nankai University, Beijing Normal University, Chongqing University, South China Normal University and so on. 170 teams participated in the online selection of the preliminary round of the competition. After the strict selection by the expert group of the organizing committee, the Laker Team formed by Mai Zidian, Luo Xin and Fang Jie, the undergraduates of our school, successfully entered the final stage and won the second prize.
After receiving the information of the competition on September 11th, Zeng Lixuan, Kang Yuan, Yan Xiaomin, Liao Gaozu, Zheng Liuchun, Lan Bingyan, Li Xukai and other teachers well-organized students to participate in the competition. Seven teams were quickly formed in the school, and two teams were finally selected after the screening. The team formed by our undergraduate students Mai Zidian, Luo Xin and Fang Jie performed well in the preliminary stage of the laboratory test and virtual simulation competition, and successfully reached the final stage. In the final, the team won the second prize, and the other team also got a good result.
Our school attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' scientific research and social practice ability. With the concept of "Beautiful China, you and I work together", the school has helped students to strengthen their professional value, stimulate their learning motivation, and actively explore the construction of curriculum ideological and political education pattern. A series of stage education achievements have been achieved.
