In order to deepen the theme-focused education of ‘Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind', make students to set up the great ideals, have a better understanding about the national postgraduate entrance examination as well as strengthen the confidence in the examination, the mobilization meeting was held on the sixth floor of science building No. 3 of School of Environment at 3:00 P.M. on 19. November. 2019. Dean of the School of Environment (SOE), Prof. Guangguo Ying, party secretary Bo Lu, vice dean Jianliang Zhao, deputy party secretary Huibin Cui and counselor Zhenchun Xi attended the meeting. All undergraduate students planning to take the National Graduate Entrance Examination attended the meeting.
Firstly, Party Secretary Bo Lu gave a keynote speech ‘Are you ready for the National Graduate Entrance Examination’. Based on the purpose and significance of the postgraduate entrance examination, Prof. Lu analyzed the situation and trends of the examination in recent years, shared the knowledge of preparing for the exam, provided suggestions on how to select universities, majors and supervisors.
Then, Prof. Guangguo Ying introduced the scientific research prospects of the environmental specialty and research groups of SOE in detail. Prof. Ying introduced the supervisors and their research achievements, research fields and research platform to the students. So that students had a better understanding of the research platform and experimental conditions of SOE. Meanwhile, Prof. Ying shared valuable experiences with students and encouraged them to actively prepare for the National Graduate Entrance Examination.
Finally, Prof. Zhao explained the graduate education program, enrollment policy, loan system. Students gained a comprehensive understanding of the policy of recommending test-free graduate students, the application process of the graduate entrance examination, study plans and incentive loan system.
The mobilization meeting gave undergraduate students a better understanding of the national graduate entrance examination and motivated them to prepare the examination.
