Dr. Yu Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering in School of Environment, South China Normal University. She received her B.S. degree in Environmental Science from Tianjin University of Technology, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering (Environmental) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Yu Li’s research interests are in the area of controlling of disinfection byproducts. Her research has evaluated techniques to minimize the formation of disinfection byproducts and the toxicology effect of disinfection byproducts during water and wastewater treatment processes. Other research interests include innovative water and wastewater treatment processes, and the detection of emerging micropollutants. She has generated many journal papers, most of which are published in leading environmental journals, including Environmental Science and Technology, Water Research, Environment International, Chemosphere. Currently, she is the Editorial Board Member of Data in Brief and invited reviewer of Water Research, Chemosphere, Environmental Science, and Desalination and Water Treatment etc.
